Keep it current with these top 5 Autumn hair trends

Make way for Autumn and shake up your style as we reveal 5 of the best hair trends you need to know

The centre parting
You read it right. This super-simple and minimalist do is making a serious comeback. Seen on all the catwalks this season and spotted on A-listers Kendall Jenner and Dua Lipa, this stalwart no-fuss style suits any face shape and works just as well on long or short hair. For ultra-sleek locks, try straightening your hair first and adding shine spray, or create a more relaxed look with tousled waves and sea-salt spray.

Plaits
French plaits, fishtail plaits, cornrows, they are all very much IN this Autumn. Sweep your hair up into a high pony tail and plait the length, do two French braids as pigtails, weave mini plaits around your hairline. Whatever you choose, make them as easy or intricate as you like and get creative by incorporating gemstone, clips and pretty jewelled slides into the plaits.

Red hair
Lucky you if you’re a natural red head, because red is THE hair colour of the season. Inject some oomph with a vibrant auburn or shiny mahogany, get some warmth with spicy gingerbread hues or have some fun with a strawberry red. Whether its an all-over colour or a gradual effect with balayage, our Master Colour experts will work their magic to achieve your perfect colour.

Low ponytail
Perhaps not traditionally known as one of the most alluring of styles, and usually reserved for the low maintenance among us, the low-slung ponytail was a firm favourite on the catwalks this season. According to those in the know and one-time celebrity fans (that’s you, Arianna!) the high ponytail has had its day. From simply tied back to full-on embellished with jewels, chains and accessories, you can get as involved as you like in ensuring you’re turning heads this Autumn.

The headband
Hair accessories are back with a bang. Blingy barrettes, crystal slides and ornate metal shapes all offer a simple yet effective va-va-voom to your hairstyle. This is especially true of the headband, once reserved for school girls, the simple band has had a bit of a revamp with beautifully embellished and ornate designs. Think pearls, beads, spikes, crystal and chainmail. If going large isn’t your thing, a delicately decorated or pretty and plain headband can be just as effective.
